Qibla direction

The compass bearing to the Kaaba from any coordinates, with the distance.

Enter coordinates or use your location, then press Run.

The angle reads clockwise from true north. A phone compass needle points at magnetic north, so allow for your area's declination, a few degrees in most places. The distance is the great-circle distance on a sphere, so it is close to but not exactly the ellipsoid figure.

Qibla Direction

Latitude -90 to 90, longitude -180 to 180, in decimal degrees.

Or use this device's location

Click asks your browser for a one-time fix: no request happens on page load.

Your browser asks once, on your click; the coordinates stay in this tab's memory, feed only the local astronomy math, and are dropped when you press Clear or close the tab. Nothing is stored or sent.

The bearing is the great-circle initial bearing, the direction over the curved earth from your starting point. A straight line drawn on a flat map is a different direction, so do not read this off a map projection.

Runs on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
