What this tool does not do
  • No OCR, pages rasterize exactly as pdf.js paints them; a scanned page without a text layer stays a picture of a picture.
  • No JPEG output. PNG keeps pixels as rendered and WebP trades fidelity for size; oversized pages clamp to the 8192-px side instead of failing.
  • Nothing is uploaded: pdf.js renders in a worker in your tab.
