Password-protected PDFs are refused with a clear message. This tool does not attempt passwords.
- No OCR. Text presence is read from the content stream, and pages without it are reported as such, not guessed about. Thumbnails paint pixels; they do not add text.
- No JavaScript-action detection: this reports structure pdf.js exposes, not an audit of embedded scripts.
- Nothing is uploaded: pdf.js parses and renders in a worker in your tab.
