JPG, HEIC, TIFF, DNG, PNG, WebP, MOV, MP4 · Up to 2,000 files, 4 GB per ZIP · stays on your device

Every file is dated from EXIF, the video header, or its name before folders are planned; non-media files and AAE sidecars are listed and skipped.

or paste

Each file's date comes from the first source that reads cleanly: the EXIF capture time (including HEIC), then the creation time in the MOV or MP4 container header read without decoding, then a recognized filename pattern such as IMG_20240614_093012, PXL_, WhatsApp Image, Screenshot, or IMG-20240614-WA0001, and finally the file modified date, flagged so you can see it. Impossible dates like 30 February are ignored. The ZIP stores your files byte for byte with no recompression, and the plan never touches your originals. This works on photos and videos you have downloaded to this device; it does not connect to iCloud or change your library there.

Up to 2,000 files, 4 GB per ZIP. The ZIP is built in memory, so larger collections should run in batches. Name clashes inside one folder are numbered case-insensitively, like Windows and macOS.
