SAML metadata analyzer

Paste SAML metadata and read entity IDs, endpoints, bindings and certificates, with expired or soon-expiring signing certs flagged.

This tool is in beta

Still being tested. If a result looks wrong, tell us.

Report a problem

Paste SAML metadata to read it.

This page reads the metadata file you paste and nothing else: it never contacts the entity IDs, endpoints, or hosts named inside, so a clean report means the file parses and its certificates are dated, not that the deployment answers. Self-signed certificates are normal in federation metadata and are not flagged. Signature checks on responses and assertions live in the SAML inspector; this report stays on metadata structure.

The paste ceiling is 200,000 characters, with up to 50 entities and 64 certificates per run. Expired and soon-expiring certificates are judged against this machine's clock at the moment of the run.

The flawed example is a working document with structural problems: two roots, so it fails the XML scan rather than reporting findings.
