llms.txt checker and generator

Check a domain's llms.txt against the llmstxt.org convention with capped link checks, and generate a new file from link lists.

Report a problem

Check a domain's llms.txt, or generate a new file from your link lists.

llms.txt is a community convention from llmstxt.org, not a standard. A file that passes every check here gains no ranking and no guaranteed AI citation; the convention only proposes a shape for a markdown index that language models can read. The checker validates that shape: one H1 title, an optional blockquote summary, H2 sections with markdown link lists, and it probes up to 20 listed links for reachability. The proxy hands back at most the first 4,096 characters of the response, so a larger file is checked on that prefix and the report says so. The generator parses each line strictly as Title | URL | optional description and reports every line it cannot use.

Check or generate

The checker reads https://domain/llms.txt, or any direct URL you type. Up to 2,048 characters
Up to 80 characters
Up to 200 characters, becomes the blockquote
One per line: Title | URL | optional description
Same line format, becomes the Pages section

The check runs only when you press its button, and its requests go through this site's proxy, never from your browser straight to the target. The generator is fully local: nothing you paste leaves the page.
