Critical request chain visualizer

Drop a HAR file or paste HAR JSON and see render-blocking request chains with their cost, the longest chain, the full dependency tree, and how to break each one.

Drop a .har file or paste HAR JSON to see the chains.

HAR JSON

Paste the capture, or open the file from the panel.

Everything runs in this tab; the file is never uploaded and no URL is fetched. Chain cost is the end of the last request minus the start of the document request, taken from the capture's own timestamps, so it reflects that one load and not an average. Script async and defer are not visible in HAR, so parser-initiated scripts are reported as blocking candidates rather than certainties. HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 multiplexing, service workers, and priority hints change what a chain costs in practice; treat the fix list as a starting point for a DevTools or Lighthouse pass, not as the whole story.

Caps, hit before any read: HAR 50,000,000 characters, 5,000 entries indexed per capture, 4,000 rows per rendered tree. Chain and fix lists stop at their caps and say so; the counts stay exact past them.

Chrome HARs carry the initiator field the chains are built from. HARs from other tools collapse onto the document, and the result says so instead of guessing.
