Content freshness analyzer

Collect every date a pasted page states about itself and list stale references like past years, old versions, dated prices and relative words.

This tool is in beta

Still being tested. If a result looks wrong, tell us.

Report a problem

Paste a page to list every date it states about itself, and the references a reviewer should verify before republishing.

There is no freshness score on purpose: a five-year-old page can be accurate, and a page updated yesterday can still quote a two-year-old price. Dates are read from meta tags, JSON-LD date fields, time elements, visible updated lines, and the body text of HTML pastes (script and style contents are skipped), or from the raw text of plain-text pastes. Ambiguous numeric dates like 03/05/2024 are counted and quoted but never resolved, because whether that reads day-first or month-first is not decidable from the text alone. Past years and future years are flagged against the reference date you pick; a past year is a candidate for review, not proof of staleness. Rendering is not simulated, so dates that only appear after scripts run will not show up unless you paste the rendered HTML. URL fetching is not part of this tool. Everything runs in this tab; nothing is uploaded.

What counts as a past year or a stale promise

Paste the whole page or its visible text, up to 200,000 characters. Nothing is fetched: open the page, view its source, and copy from here.
