Notice period calculator

Find the last working day from a notice date plus a period in days, weeks, months or working days, with your weekends, holidays and a UK statutory helper.

Report a problem

Pick the date notice was given to work out the last day.

The holiday list is yours alone; nothing is fetched and no holiday data exists in the tool. The statutory figure follows the UK Employment Rights Act minimum: nothing under one month of service, one week up to two years, then one week per full year capped at twelve. Your contract can require more notice than the statutory minimum, and this arithmetic is not legal advice.

The statutory helper reads your length of service and offers the UK minimum notice below. It never changes your inputs until you press the button.

Periods run to 10,000 calendar units or 1,200 months. Dates stay between 1900 and 2100.
