Leave accrual calculator

Track paid leave earned per pay period or per hour worked, with caps, carry-over limits and leave taken, projected to any balance date.

Report a problem

Set an accrual rule to see the balance.

Reading the numbers: credit lands at the end of each completed pay period, and partial periods are not prorated, so a balance date mid-period shows only completed credits. The cap stops accrual rather than removing leave; the tool reports how much credit was lost while the balance sat at the cap. The carry-over limit trims the balance on the first day of each new leave year, not on a contract anniversary. In per-hour mode the hours come from the hours-per-week field, so the projection moves only when that field changes. A balance can go below zero when leave is taken faster than it is earned. Statutory minimums, part-time proration, public holidays, and payroll rounding are not applied. This is arithmetic, not legal or payroll advice.
