String builder

Combines text segments into one string with a separator, then applies quoting and case actions, with a single line variant and copy.

This tool is in beta

Still being tested. If a result looks wrong, tell us.

Report a problem

Add at least one segment to build a string.

The builder only does its own text operations: it never evaluates code and never touches a shell or a database, so a joined SQL or command string is just characters here. Parts are the non-empty lines after trimming; the single-line form flattens the newline separator to spaces and changes nothing else.

Build steps

The steps run in a fixed order: case first, then quoting, then the join. Single and double quoting double an embedded quote character (the SQL and CSV conventions); backtick quoting backslash-escapes backslash and backtick. Nothing else is escaped, so this is formatting, not safety.
