Headline score analyzer

Scores up to 20 headlines on ten transparent rules covering length, pixel width, numbers, hype words and keyword placement, with search truncation previews.

This tool is in beta

Still being tested. If a result looks wrong, tell us.

Report a problem

Paste headlines to score them.

The ten rules are heuristics, not search-engine internals: they reward the shape that reads well in results and penalize vagueness, shouting, and hype. Search engines cut titles at their own pixel widths, which vary by device and viewport, so treat the truncation preview as an approximation of a desktop result. The pixel measure is honest canvas text metrics for 20px Arial; other fonts and mobile layouts will cut at different points. Keyword rules check placement, not intent.

Headlines

One per line, up to 20; scores update as you type
Optional; adds two keyword rules worth 15 points

Each line runs up to 200 characters, 20 lines per batch. Pixel width is measured in this tab with canvas text metrics against a 600px desktop budget; nothing is uploaded.
