DMARC checker

Look up a domain's DMARC record and explain its policy, alignment and reporting tags in plain language.

Still being tested. If a result looks wrong, tell us.

Report a problem

Press the button to run the lookup

Nothing leaves this page until you do. A record found on the organizational domain is labeled as inherited, the way receivers read it, and a domain with no record at all is told to you straight.

This tool reads and explains the record; it does not verify that report mailboxes receive anything, and it does not check SPF or DKIM themselves, on which every DMARC outcome depends. The organizational-domain walk uses a curated subset of the Public Suffix List (140 entries, snapshot 2026-10), not the full list, so a rare suffix can produce a wrong walk target.

One hostname per lookup, like example.com
DNS resolverWhere the TXT questions go

What leaves your browser

Two DNS TXT questions go browser-direct to the DNS-over-HTTPS resolver you picked: one for _dmarc under the exact name, and one for the organizational domain when the exact name publishes nothing. This page leaves your browser only when you press the button; never on load, never in the background. Nothing is sent anywhere else. Google Analytics still measures the visit to this page, and it never receives what you run through this tool.
