Cross-Origin resource policy checker

Fetch a resource URL and see what its Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy header permits for same-origin, same-site and cross-origin embedding.

This tool is in beta

Still being tested. If a result looks wrong, tell us.

Report a problem

Type a resource URL and press Check CORP

The tool reads the resource's Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy header and reports what it permits for same-origin, same-site, and cross-origin embedding.

Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy is one header with one job: it tells a browser which documents may embed this resource. It matters most under COEP require-corp, where an embedder's policy demands that every subresource carry a CORP header of cross-origin or better. The check reads one response header; it does not probe the embedding side, it does not verify a certificate, and an invalid header value is reported as ignored rather than enforced.

Resource

The asset itself, not the page that embeds it

What leaves your browser

One GET request for the URL's response headers goes through this project's capped proxy server (public hosts, size and time caps, rate limited). This page leaves your browser only when you press the button; never on load, never in the background. Nothing is sent anywhere else. Google Analytics still measures the visit to this page, and it never receives what you run through this tool.

Point this at a static asset. A missing header on an HTML page means almost nothing: CORP exists to govern embedded resources.
