Every file is decoded locally, transformed (copy, no pixel change), and re-encoded as PNG, output signature and dimensions are verified before a row counts as done. Animated inputs keep their first frame only (flagged on the row).

Every rotation re-encodes pixels (orientation applied on decode, output dimensions verified). Enable to rotate JPEGs by rewriting the EXIF orientation tag instead: no re-encode.
EXIF orientation is applied on decode, so the preview dimensions are the pixels you get; every output re-checks its signature and dimensions before counting as done.
