SVG path optimizer

Shorten SVG path data by rounding precision, picking the shorter of absolute or relative commands, folding lines into H and V, and dropping redundant segments.

Path data or SVG markup

Up to 2,000,000 characters

Paste path data to shorten it.

Ties between the absolute and relative form keep the absolute one, and H/V counts as the absolute form. Curves written with S and T shorthands are expanded to C and Q with the reflected control made explicit, so the output never depends on renderer state reconstruction. This tool does not sanitize: scripts, event handlers, and editor namespaces pass through untouched, and the previews below render through image elements, which cannot run them. Treat a pasted file as untrusted until you have reviewed it.

The shorter of the absolute and relative H/V form wins
Keeps the one right after a move, which draws a dot under round or square caps

Up to 2,000,000 characters, about 2 MB. Rounding happens on absolute coordinates and relative values are derived between rounded points, so the error does not creep along a path.
