Export folder analyzer

Analyze a folder or ZIP from iCloud for content based file types, sizes, date range, largest files, duplicates and data issues, changing nothing.

Pick an export

Drop files or ZIPs here, or pick an iCloud download folder. The folder picker keeps the relative paths, which is what pairs Live Photos and IMG_E edited copies correctly.

Drag and drop works for loose files; browsers do not hand over dropped folders, so use the folder button for those.

File types are read from the first bytes, so the chart reflects what the files actually are rather than what their names claim. Modified dates come from the file system of the download and often reflect when the export ran, not when the photo was taken; EXIF capture dates stay inside the files and are not read here. Duplicates are exact byte matches: same size, then a full SHA-256. Duplicates inside ZIP archives are deliberately not checked, since entries are never decompressed. Text files, databases, and small documents may go untyped when their bytes match no known signature. This tool audits only: nothing is deleted, moved, renamed, decrypted, or sent anywhere.

Analysis setup

Duplicate checkHashes only files that share an exact size with another file

Up to 20,000 files and 50 GB per analysis. Files over 4 GB are listed but not hashed. A .zip over 256 MB counts toward totals but its entries are not enumerated. Nothing is deleted, moved, renamed, or uploaded.
