The numbers are drawn straight onto your pages in this tab with the built-in Helvetica font, so nothing uploads and links, form fields, and bookmarks stay exactly as they were. Each stamp is placed in the page's visible box: a page stored sideways (/Rotate 90) still gets an upright number in the viewer.

What this does not do: it cannot number pages of an encrypted file, and it does not touch the body text, so a number can overlap content near the edge you picked. Pick a margin that clears your pages, or use skip-first for cover pages.

Blank means every page

Stamped pages count from the start value in document order, so a skipped page does not consume a number. Roman numerals run out at 3999. Font size sits between 4 and 144 pt, margin between 0 and 200 pt, and the range takes spans like 1-10 or lists like 1-3, 5 (blank means every page).
