CSS minifier

Paste CSS or drop up to 20 .css files and get minified output with comments stripped and whitespace collapsed outside strings and url() tokens, plus per-file size counts, copy, and a ZIP download.

Your CSS

229 characters · 13 lines

Paste some CSS to see it minified.

This minifier strips comments and collapses whitespace, and that is all. Class names, properties, values, and ordering come through exactly as written; nothing is renamed, reordered, merged, or autoprefixed. Quoted strings and url() tokens are preserved byte for byte, so a comment marker inside a content string stays content. A semicolon directly before a closing brace is dropped, which changes nothing about how the rule parses. Unterminated comments, strings, or url() tokens are refused with the line they start on rather than guessed at. For deeper shrinkage you want a build-step optimizer with cascade parsing; this tool does the safe part, in your browser.

Input

A paste stays under 500,000 characters. The result stays on one line; strings and url() tokens come through byte for byte.
