APK manifest viewer

Drop an APK or an extracted manifest to decode the binary AndroidManifest.xml in the tab, showing package, SDK levels, permissions with protection levels and exported components, with XML, JSON and CSV downloads.

Report a problem

Load an APK to unpack its manifest: package identity, SDK levels, permissions with protection levels, and every component other apps can reach.

Android stores the manifest as compiled binary XML (AXML), not plain text: strings live in a pooled table and attributes carry typed values. This tool reads the ZIP central directory, inflates just the AndroidManifest.xml entry, and walks the chunk tree, all with its own bounded parser. Protection levels come from a curated table of known platform permissions plus any permission the app declares itself; a permission outside that table shows as unknown because the real level lives in the platform, not in the APK. No signature verification, no resources.arsc value lookup, and no ZIP64 or streamed-entry support.

Input

FileNothing loaded

Drop an .apk file or a compiled AndroidManifest.xml anywhere on the page, or use the buttons above. Decoding happens in this tab; the file is never uploaded, installed, or run.

Ceilings: 256 MB per file, 16 MB for the decompressed manifest, and up to 4,000,000 characters of rendered XML.
