ROAS calculator

Computes per-channel and blended ROAS from spend and revenue lines, break-even ROAS from gross margin, target ROAS from a profit goal, and the profit left after ad cost, flagging channels below break-even.

Report a problem

Set a margin and add channel lines to see ROAS.

ROAS is attributed revenue over ad spend; it says nothing about profit until a margin sits next to it, which is why margin comes first here. Break-even ROAS is one over the margin share: at 40 percent margin you need 2.5 just to pay for the ads. The target ROAS adds your profit goal to the hurdle, and a goal at or above the margin is unreachable, so the tool says so rather than returning a negative. Blended ROAS is spend-weighted, total revenue over total spend, never the mean of channel ratios, and it is undefined at zero spend. Two honest limits: ROAS is undefined when a channel spent nothing, and revenue here is what each platform claims, so summed platform numbers can overstate real sales through double attribution.

A fourth number on a channel line overrides the global margin for that channel alone. A zero profit goal gives plain break-even.

Up to 100 channel lines and 20,000 characters per paste. Percentages stay between 0 and 100. Spend and revenue cannot be negative.
