TDEE calculator

Estimate your daily maintenance calories from the Mifflin-St Jeor BMR and an activity multiplier, in metric or imperial.

Enter an age, weight, and height to estimate maintenance calories.

TDEE is total daily energy expenditure: what you burn in a normal day, including activity. The Mifflin-St Jeor equation behind this estimate was fitted on adults, so treat the number as unreliable for children, and treat all of it as a starting point rather than medical advice. Athletes with much more muscle than average burn more than the formula predicts; the activity table shows how much the multiplier alone moves the answer, which is usually bigger than any precision debate.

Age runs 2 to 100; weight and height stay within ±10,000 after conversion.
