Stock average calculator

Average your stock lots with brokerage included, find break-even, check profit or loss at the current price, and solve for a target average.

Report a problem

Enter at least one buy to average it.

The average price divides what the shares cost by how many you hold; the average cost adds the buy charges on top, and the break-even adds the sell charges too. The target solver works on the plain price average: buying moves the average toward your purchase price but never past it, so a target beyond that price is refused with the reason instead of a number. No live quotes are fetched, the current price is whatever you type, and tax-basis averaging is a separate question this tool does not take on.

Leave a charge override blank to use the global buy charge. A target average needs the buy price filled in too.

Up to 40 buys; prices and quantities stay within ±1,000,000,000,000, quantities within 1,000,000,000 shares. The whole position counts as one order for the flat charges.
