Significant figures calculator

The count never comes from floating point. Every rounding call is exact BigInt work on the digits you typed, so 2.675 is treated as the true tie it is instead of the 2.67499999... a double stores. Trailing zeros in a bare integer carry no measured evidence: 1500 is reported as 2 to 4 significant figures, not one made-up count. Write 1500. or 1.50 × 10³ when a value really is precise to its end.
