Sensor calibration calculator

Enter calibration points, span limits and a raw reading to get gain and offset or a least-squares fit, a corrected value, and accuracy, linearity, hysteresis and repeatability as a share of span.

Report a problem

Enter at least two calibration points.

The fit treats measured as the input and reference as the target, so the line it produces is a correction you can apply directly to raw readings. Accuracy and linearity are kept apart on purpose: a constant offset has perfect linearity and is fixed by a zero adjustment alone, while accuracy prices the offset in. Hysteresis needs the same reference approached from both directions and repeatability needs repeated readings; neither is ever estimated from single points.

This is bench arithmetic, not a calibration certificate. It does not establish traceability, does not build an uncertainty budget, and does not decide adjustment order; see NIST Technical Note 1297 for that layer of the work.

Calibration setup

One point per line: reference, measured, then an optional direction (up or down). Up to 100 points.

Every error figure is a share of span, not of reading. The tolerance prices accuracy, linearity, hysteresis and repeatability against the same limit.

Numbers stay within ±1,000,000,000,000. Two points fit exactly; three or more fit a least-squares line.
