PT100 RTD converter

Convert resistance to temperature and back for PT100, PT500 and PT1000 with the Callendar-Van Dusen equation, IEC 60751 tolerance classes and a lead-resistance error estimate.

Enter a resistance or a temperature to convert it.

The Callendar-Van Dusen coefficients here are the IEC 60751 set (alpha 0.00385), which is what PT100, PT500 and PT1000 normally mean. Curves sold to other alpha values, 0.00375 or 0.00391, follow different constants and are not covered. The 2-wire lead error assumes the loop resistance is stable with temperature; real lead resistance drifts a little with ambient heat.

The cable estimate adds both legs: 2 × resistivity × length / size, 100,000 m and 1,000 mm2 ceilings. Manual lead ohms and the cable estimate add together for 2-wire runs, up to 10,000 ohms.

Numbers stay within ±1,000,000. The table step runs 1 to 100 degrees C over the IEC 60751 span.
