One rep max calculator

Enter a weight and the reps you lifted to see your estimated one rep max from four formulas side by side, with a training percentage table.

Report a problem

Enter a weight and rep count to estimate.

An estimate is not permission to attempt the lift. These formulas extrapolate one number from a single submaximal set; they disagree because each was fitted on different lifters, and the honest read is the spread, not any single row. The training table below is derived from Epley only, so treat those cuts as percentages of the Epley estimate, not of your true maximum.

The set

Unit

Reps cap at 15 on purpose: the formulas were fitted on sets of about ten or fewer and drift far apart past fifteen. Count only reps done cleanly, not the grinding last one.
