Mulch calculator

Estimate mulch, bark, compost, or gravel volume for rectangular and circular beds, converted to bags or bulk yards with a cost total.

Add a bed with its size and depth.

The estimate is plan area times depth times the settling allowance, so it covers beds laid flat. Bag counts always round up because a partial bag still costs a full bag at the register. Bulk deliveries are priced straight, without delivery fees or minimum-load charges; a stone or gravel bed at the same depth normally needs less material than a bark bed, not more.

Leave a price empty to skip that path. The settling allowance runs 0 to 100 percent.

Dimensions stay within ±10,000, up to 40 beds per estimate. Area is the plan area of each bed; depth reads in inches or centimetres to match the system above.
