Mileage reimbursement calculator

Turns a trip log into a two-tier mileage claim with passenger supplements and a taxable-excess comparison against an approved amount.

Report a problem

Paste a trip log to price the claim.

The claim is priced in the order the trips are listed, with the threshold applied to cumulative distance for the year, which is how two-tier mileage schemes actually work. Passenger supplements and the approved comparison follow the same arithmetic a payroll team would run. This tool prices what you type; it does not check your employer's scheme rules, tax treatment, or record-keeping duties.

The prior distance lets the threshold fall inside the log, so one journey can price at both rates. An empty approved amount skips the taxable-excess comparison.

One trip per line: date, label, distance, optional passengers. Up to 500 trips.

Rates stay within 1,000,000,000; a trip line is capped at 200 characters and 20 passengers. The defaults mirror the UK AMAP-style scheme, but the rates are yours to set.
