Fixed deposit calculator

Work out fixed deposit maturity value and interest with simple or compound interest at your chosen compounding frequency.

Enter the deposit terms to see the maturity value.

This is the plain formula, not a bank quote. It leaves out tax deducted at source, premature withdrawal penalties, and each bank's own day-count rounding, so treat the maturity value as an estimate. Rates are the nominal annual rate the bank quotes; the effective annual rate in the result is what compounding actually delivers over one year.

CompoundingCompound interest only

Simple interest ignores this setting. Compound interest grows the deposit once per period: 4 periods a year when quarterly, 12 when monthly.

Numbers stay within ±1,000,000,000,000. Rates run 0 to 100 % and terms 0 to 200 years.
