Equipment downtime calculator

Turns pasted stoppage lines into total downtime, ISO 22400-2 availability, lost output, cost, and a Pareto ranking of causes, exportable as CSV.

This tool is in beta

Still being tested. If a result looks wrong, tell us.

Report a problem

Paste stoppage rows to add them up.

Lost output assumes every down minute would have produced saleable units at the running rate. On a line that is not the bottleneck, those units are made up later and the real loss is closer to the standing cost alone; read the cost figure with that in mind.

Period and stoppages

Cause, minutes, occurrences - one per line
More settings▾

Occurrences are optional and default to 1. Repeating a cause across lines merges it, so "Label roll change, 10, 3" and "label roll change, 9, 2" become one Pareto entry. Lines starting with # are ignored, up to 500 rows of 200 characters.

Planned running time is shift length less breaks and unstaffed hours, not calendar time: availability divides by planned production time per ISO 22400-2.
