Vocaroo audio downloader

Paste a Vocaroo share link, the tool reads the recording ID, fetches the public media file from media.vocaroo.com, checks the bytes are audio, and saves the MP3.

Paste a Vocaroo share link, confirm the rights checkbox, and press Fetch and check.

Only public Vocaroo recordings can be fetched: the tool reads the ID from your share link and asks Vocaroo's media host for the same MP3 any player gets. It never converts anything, and it cannot recover recordings Vocaroo has already deleted; once a recording is gone from their side, the ID answers nothing. The rights checkbox is there because a shareable link is not the same as permission. Only save what you own or are allowed to save.

The recording ID is read out of the share link, the public media file is fetched from Vocaroo, and the bytes are checked for the MP3 signature before anything is saved.

What leaves your browser

The recording is fetched straight from media.vocaroo.com by your browser, using the ID in your link. Nothing is stored; the bytes live in this tab until you save or leave. This page leaves your browser only when you press the button; never on load, never in the background. Nothing is sent anywhere else. Google Analytics still measures the visit to this page, and it never receives what you run through this tool.
