Clicks are placed on the Web Audio clock a fraction of a second ahead, so scrolling, background tabs, and CPU load cannot bend the beat. The dots follow the audio schedule; they never drive it.

Press Start, or tap the Space key.

Tempo always means the note named by the lower signature number: at 100 BPM in 6/8 you hear 100 eighth notes a minute, grouped in threes with accents on beats 1 and 4. Odd simple meters like 5/4 or 7/4 accent only the downbeat, and 7/8 keeps the three-plus grouping the compound meters use, which is one honest convention among several players follow. Practice mode changes land on bar lines, never mid-bar. The click is synthesized here; nothing is recorded and no audio leaves the device. The tool does not count your practice time across visits or program setlists.

Practice mode raises the tempo on bar lines only, so a rung never ends mid-bar. The plan preview below shows every rung before you start.

Space starts and stops, Escape stops. Neither fires while you are typing in a field. The preview schedule covers up to 16 bars.
