LibriVox audiobook downloader

Paste a LibriVox book page URL, the tool resolves the Internet Archive item behind it, lists the chapter files in order, and downloads chapters one at a time as original files.

Chapters come exactly as LibriVox published them: original files, one at a time, nothing re-encoded and no whole-book zip or m4b. LibriVox recordings are public domain in the United States, but copyright terms for readings of public-domain texts differ by country, and the underlying translation or edition can carry its own rights. Check the terms where you live before downloading or sharing.

Accepted: a librivox.org book page link or an archive.org/details/ link for the recording. librivox.org refuses requests from browser pages, so a book link is resolved by searching LibriVox's own archive.org collection; an archive.org link skips the search and reads that exact item.

What leaves your browser

The link goes to archive.org's public collection-search and metadata APIs. Chapter files are fetched from archive.org's servers only when you press Download or Open. Nothing is stored. This page leaves your browser only when you press the button; never on load, never in the background. Nothing is sent anywhere else. Google Analytics still measures the visit to this page, and it never receives what you run through this tool.
