Guitar chord finder

Draw chord diagrams for any root and type from the chord's notes, with finger numbers, open and barre voicings, and a left-handed view.

The finder draws standard tuning only (E A D G B E) and spells every note with sharps, matching the root list; there is no flat spelling and no drop-tuning or capo logic here. A voicing earns its place by construction, not by tradition: it may leave out a tone (some ninth shapes drop the fifth to fit the neck), and the difficulty order is the tool's own scoring, not a player survey. Nothing is played back; this page draws, it does not sound.

Chord setup

Search depthFret 5 through 15
Keeps shapes at or below the third fret with at most one muted string.
Mirrors each diagram so the low string sits on the right.

Diagrams are generated from the chord's notes at run time, not picked from a chart. Every voicing shown sounds only chord tones with the chord's root as the lowest note, and spans four fretted positions at most. Up to 12 voicings are kept, easiest first.
