Clyp audio downloader

Paste a Clyp clip URL, the tool queries Clyp's public API for the MP3 address, verifies the bytes are audio, and saves the original file.

This tool saves exactly the file Clyp serves publicly, with no re-encoding. One honest limit: Clyp's file host sends no cross-origin header, so your browser may refuse the byte-by-byte download. When that happens the tool says so and offers the direct file link instead, which your browser opens and saves as a normal navigation. It does not handle playlists, private clips, or anything behind a Clyp account, and it cannot raise a quality cap: you get the same MP3 or OGG every visitor gets.

The clip link is checked against Clyp's public clip API, which reports the clip's title, length, and the MP3 and OGG addresses Clyp serves. Clips whose owner turned downloads off are refused.

What leaves your browser

The link you paste goes to this project's proxy server, which reads Clyp's public clip API for you. Each audio file is then downloaded straight from Clyp's file host by your browser. Nothing is stored. This page leaves your browser only when you press the button; never on load, never in the background. Nothing is sent anywhere else. Google Analytics still measures the visit to this page, and it never receives what you run through this tool.
