Figures are binary (1 GiB = 1,073,741,824 bytes). This is a sizing estimate, not a quote: real engines pack, pad and fragment differently, the overhead percent needs calibrating against an actual load, and managed vector services bill by pods, dimensions and throughput rather than raw bytes. Nothing here measures your running database; it shows where the bytes would go if the layout assumptions hold.

Overhead is applied to vectors, IDs, metadata and index together, then multiplied by replicas. Growth compounds monthly, up to 120 months and 100 % per month.

Counts stay within 1,000,000,000,000 vectors and 10,000 dimensions. Every layout formula the estimate uses is listed under the result, so you can argue with any of it.
