# XML sitemap generator

Crawl a small site through the project proxy or paste a URL list, then build and download a valid urlset sitemap.xml with the crawl cap stated up front.

Paste at least one URL to build the file.

The generated file is a plain sitemap.org 0.9 urlset with loc entries only: no lastmod, changefreq, or priority, because this tool guesses none of them. One file holds at most 10,000 URLs; the sitemaps.org ceiling is 50,000 per file, so bigger sites need an index of several files built separately. Crawl mode reads each page through the proxy, which returns at most the first 4,096 characters of a page's body, so anchors far down a long page are missed. Paste mode is exact: it builds from what you typed, stripped of fragments and duplicates.
