# WhatsApp chat button

Generates a WhatsApp chat button snippet from a country code and number, with display name, welcome message, position, and colors.

This is the honest, account-free version of the widget builders you see elsewhere: it hands you a static anchor snippet, and that is all it does. There is no dashboard, so changing the number or colors later means pasting a fresh snippet. There is no analytics, so you will not learn how often the button was shown or clicked, and there is no install checker, so confirming the widget is live is on you. The phone number sits in plain HTML, readable by anyone who opens your page source, and wa.me itself does not verify that the number belongs to you. What you do get: one snippet, no script loaded from anyone's servers, no cookies, and no tracking between you and your visitor.
