# Readability score analyzer

Score pasted text with six readability formulas and see the word, sentence, and syllable counts plus the hard sentences behind each score.

Paste text to score it.

These six formulas were built for English prose, and the syllable count behind three of them is an estimate from vowel groups, not a dictionary lookup, so treat single-point differences as noise. Sentences split on periods, question marks, exclamation points, and line breaks, so "Dr." and similar abbreviations can over-split. Scores measure the passage you pasted, not your readers: Flesch ease can run above 100 on very short sentences, and grade levels below 6 all read the same to a person.
