Your files stay on your device Passive voice detector Finds passive constructions in English text, shows the agent when a by-phrase states it, reports the passive share, and suggests active rewrites. Paste text to check it. This is a word-list detector, not a grammar parse. A hit does not prove bad style: passives are the right choice when the agent is unknown or beside the point. The base verb behind each participle is a guess, so the active patterns are templates to edit, not finished sentences. Sentences split on periods, question marks, exclamation points, and line breaks, so abbreviations like "Dr." can over-split. The detector is built for English; other languages will miss or over-flag.
