# Markdown ⇄ HTML converter

- Markdown → HTML drops raw HTML by design (no allowDangerousHtml) — the fold list names it when it happens.
- HTML → Markdown is lossy by nature: divs flatten, spans unwrap, inline styles vanish — every fold is listed, none silent.
- No syntax highlighting, footnotes, or math extensions — GFM is the whole grammar here.
