Your files stay on your device Filler word detector Highlights filler words, cliches, hedges, and weak intensifiers in a draft with per-category counts, density, and before and after views. Paste a draft to highlight it. The phrase lists are a curated English table, not a dictionary: a highlight is a prompt to look, never a grammar error. Matching is whole word, longest phrase first, case and accent insensitive, and "kind of" and "sort of" count as hedges. The academic profile keeps research hedges such as "may indicate" unflagged, and the technical profile keeps normative may, might, and could, because specifications use them on purpose. Quotation, code, and blockquote detection is a plain scan, so odd quotes or unbalanced markers can skip more than you meant; density is hits over counted words, and a short draft swings it widely.
