# Comma list to column

Paste a comma-separated list and get one item per line: each entry is trimmed and empty entries are skipped, with the column ready to copy.

Paste a list and the column appears here.

Splitting is a plain string split on the comma, matching the source tool: quoting is not parsed, so a field like "Smith, John" comes apart at its inner comma. A quote-aware parser lives in the CSV tools. Semicolons, tabs, and pipes stay inside the items; only the comma splits.
