# IP as integer, hex, and binary

Convert IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to decimal, hex, and binary — and back — exact BigInt arithmetic, full 128-bit decimals never rounded.

- Every value is a BigInt end to end. A v6 integer like 42,540,766,411,282,592,856,903,984,951,653,826,561 keeps all 39 digits — the float rounding that gives every IP library "202824096037518…" artifacts cannot happen here.
- Decimal → address refuses values past the family maximum instead of wrapping.
- Binary is grouped per octet (v4) or per 16-bit group (v6) for reading; the flat string is the same bits.
- Round trips are a tested property: address → decimal → address is identity, both families.
