HTTPS checker

Probe a domain over plain HTTP and HTTPS side by side and report whether HTTP redirects to HTTPS.

Press the button to check both addresses
Nothing leaves this page until you do. A site that answers on both and sends HTTP to HTTPS is the shape you want.

Both statuses are first answers at check time, from this project's proxy and its network position. The HTTPS answer says nothing about certificate health beyond reachability; the certificate itself is not inspected. Where the HTTPS checker gives a verdict, the HTTPS Redirect Checker shows the whole chain.
