This tool reduces mild blur by subtracting an estimate of the blur and adding the difference back: a Gaussian unsharp mask for soft focus, a disc mean for out-of-focus shots, and an oriented line kernel for camera shake. It cannot rebuild detail the blur already destroyed, it is not generative AI, and heavy blur or very grainy photos come out sharper but not sharp. Denoise the scan first if grain is the problem; sharpening grain is still sharpening grain.
