Try a sample Denoising here is a bilateral filter: each pixel is averaged with its neighbors, weighted so that pixels across a strong edge barely count. Film grain, scanner noise, and camera speckle in flat areas calm down; real edges keep their step. The keep-detail slider blends a share of the fine difference back in, so at 100 the photo comes back untouched and at 0 it comes back as smooth as the filter can make it. The JPEG seam pass smooths the 8-pixel block boundaries JPEG compression leaves behind, but a real edge that happens to land on that grid can soften slightly. Alpha channels are carried through unchanged. This is classic pixel math, not AI restoration: severely noisy or blurred photos get calmer, but no missing detail is invented. Very large photos are capped at 12 megapixels because the filter runs in this tab. Nothing is uploaded or stored; closing the tab erases the photo. The quality slider applies to JPG and WebP only, PNG always encodes losslessly.
