# PDF inspector

Read a PDF's structure before you trust it — page count, page sizes, metadata, and which pages actually carry text. pdf.js runs in a worker; no page is ever rendered.
PDF file

Password-protected PDFs are refused with a clear message — this tool does not attempt passwords.

- No rendering, no thumbnails, no OCR — text presence is read from the content stream, and pages without it are reported as such, not guessed about.
- No JavaScript-action detection: this reports structure pdf.js exposes, not an audit of embedded scripts.
- Nothing is uploaded — pdf.js parses in a worker in your tab.
