Your files stay on your device SVG data URI converter Turn SVG markup into a URL encoded or Base64 data URI with stripping options and byte sizes, or decode a data URI back to markup. Paste markup or a data URI to convert it. The URL form percent-encodes only what breaks a URI or CSS url(): angle brackets, #, %, braces, control characters, and non-ASCII. When your markup has no single quotes the doubles are swapped so the value fits inside url("..."). Base64 always encodes the markup as it is, which is why the two forms rarely agree byte for byte. Neither form can be recoloured with currentColor: a data URI is an isolated document. This tool strips, encodes, and sizes; it does not minify paths or optimise geometry.
